“The Unexpected Journeys,” Brandon Nelson (piano quartet)

I composed this piece as a gift for my wife, Tina. Our life together has had a lot of unexpected twists and turns, but through it all, we’ve held tight to each other and always look ahead to a brighter future. The music depicts a number of moods and always consists of closely-woven counterpoint between the principal voices, a symbol of harmonious union.
